And people’s memory is boundless, the pain of loss lives on in each of us. In Moscow alone last year 23 thousand veterans had passed away. This statistic in Kazakhstan is as bleak. New entries keep being made in "The Book of Memory" in the wake of these departures. The young learn to love their homeland as did their heroic forerunners.

The antinuclear Forum in Seoul is the largest event for both the South Korean capital and for the world. Second after the Washington summit, it is a clear indication that the reset of international relations in the non-proliferation and disarmament brings very tangible results. According to experts, nearly 80% of the commitments made on the Potomac banks have been materialized. And what is most gratifying, Kazakhstan continues to maintain the lead in the process of strengthening stability and security, as confirmed by the United States President Barack Obama during a meeting with the Kazakh leader.

Ahead of the International Women's Day the President met with women representatives of the "Kөktem shuaғy" society "Men rule the world, but men are ruled by women" – he said meeting them in Akorda. The invited ladies certainly voiced their ideas not only about women’s bigger public involvement, but also development of the state, refuting the assertions that a woman’s lot is to be a man’s shadow. As Nursultan Nazarbayev observed, at times it is a woman, who makes history, largely through her main mission - the high mission of a Mother. His offer to establish Mother's Day in Kazakhstan was accepted with enthusiasm.
