Kazakhstan has introduced a new format for financing special social services

The new financing format is being introduced, among other things, to develop competition by attracting the private sector and qualified specialists to provide social services.
From January 1, 2025, the system of providing special social services switched to a new financing format based on the rules and methodology for forming tariffs for special social services approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Labor
It is expected that this will expand the coverage of citizens in need of receiving SSU.
This mechanism helps to improve the efficiency of organizations and the quality of services provided, which, in turn, should have a positive impact on the level of employee salaries.
Tariffs will be formed on the basis of information received from the information systems of organizations providing SSU, and will include two components: basic and overhead costs.
Tariffs for the provision of special social services are approved by local executive bodies.
