Parent-teacher meetings on an important topic will be held in all schools in Kazakhstan
The topic of discussion will be the safety of children both in real life and online.
From September 23 to 27, parent meetings dedicated to children's safety will be held in schools in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education
According to the department, the topic of discussion will be the issue of parental responsibility for the safety of children both in real life and online. Parents will be given step-by-step recommendations on how to recognize threats in time and what measures to take to prevent them. Among the key ones are monitoring the child's behavior, monitoring activity on social networks, and interacting with peers in the school environment.
"Child safety should be a priority for every adult. Open dialogue with the child, active participation in his life, control over digital devices and constant discussion of safety issues are the main tools that help prevent problems. The task of parents is not just to control, but also to maintain a trusting relationship so that the child knows that he is always ready to be listened to and helped. Our children are the future, and their well-being depends on us," said Nasymzhan Ospanova, Chairperson of the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education.
The ministry recalled that a 24-hour state contact center “111” operates throughout the country, where parents and children can receive qualified advice from psychologists and lawyers.
There have been several tragedies involving minors recently. On September 10, a girl's body was found in an abandoned building on Kravtsov Street. On September 12, a 12-year-old girl jumped from the 13th floor. On September 16, two more girls fell to their deaths from a high-rise.
