After their appeal to the sports community, the Olympic flag was lowered. The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, handed it over to the head of Los Angeles, Karen Bass. It is in this American city that the Olympic Games will be held in 2028. Then Thomas Bach officially announced the closure of the 2024 Olympics.
The head of the IOC, together with the French swimmer Marchand and athletes from different continents Mihain Lopez, Eliud Kipchoge, Cindy Ngamba, Teddy Rienner, Emma McKeown, Sun Yingsha, blew out the Olympic flame.

Let us add that Kazakhstan won one gold, three silver and three bronze at the last Games. In total, 80 Kazakh athletes in 25 sports were able to qualify for the 2024 Games.
The flag bearers of the Kazakhstan national team were gymnast Elzhana Tanieva and taekwondo athlete Batyrkhan Toleugali.
The USA became the winners of the Olympics, they won 126 medals - 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze.
China took second place with 91 medals - 40 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze.
Japan is in third position, winning 45 medals - 20 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze.
In fourth place is Australia with 53 medals, and France rounds out the top 5 with 64 medals.
