Direct flight between Kazakhstan and Oman opens
Regular direct passenger flights will connect Kazakhstan with Oman, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstanis will fly to Oman with the low-cost airline Salam Air.
Salam Air plans to start direct regular flights on the Muscat-Almaty route from July 1, 2023 with a frequency of 2 flights a week (Thursday and Sunday) on A-320neo and A-321neo aircraft, the CAC said.
The opening of air communication between Kazakhstan and Oman will contribute to the development of trade, economic, tourism and cultural cooperation between the countries, the committee added.
For reference : Salam Air is an Omani low-cost air carrier based in Muscat (Oman). Started flying in 2016. The airline operates international flights to almost 20 countries (Czech Republic, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India and others) on 30 routes. The airline's fleet includes 11 Airbus A320neo, A321neo aircraft.
