55 people will fight for the mandates of senators
Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov at a meeting of the department told how many candidates for deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan are included in the ballots, a Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports .
“According to the data presented by the election commissions, a total of 55 candidates were included on the ballots. From Almaty - 4 candidates, from 6 regions (Almaty, Zhetysu, Zhambyl, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Turkestan regions) - 2 candidates each, in other regions and in the cities of Shymkent and Astana - 3 candidates each. 3,168 maslikhat deputies were included in the lists of electors in the republic. A significant part of them are in the Turkestan region (there are 317 electors) and Kostanay region - 263 electors,” the head of the CEC informed.
Recall that the elections of deputies of the Senate will be held on January 14. The results of voting in the CEC will be summed up no later than January 20.
