The Government for Citizens State Corporation announced the launch of a new digital service in the Public Service Center mobile app – online ordering of state registration plates, Kazpravda.kz reports.
- Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the list of available vehicle registration plates has been expanded. This includes so-called \\\"preferred\\\" and \\\"mirror\\\" plates, reflecting growing public interest and the need for more choice when registering vehicles.
To improve accessibility, the option to select and order state license plates through the Public Service Center mobile app has been implemented as an alternative to online application submission. The new service allows citizens to apply for a license plate with the desired combination remotely, without having to visit a specialized Public Service Center in person.
The application process is completed entirely online and takes just a few minutes. Users log in to the Public Service Center mobile app, select the license plate ordering service, and enter the desired number and series. The region is automatically determined based on the applicant\\\'s place of registration.
If the number is available, the user is prompted to make payment and select a convenient branch to pick up the license plate. If the selected combination is already taken, the system will notify and prompt them to enter another combination.
The service\\\'s functionality is implemented using integration with the information systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This allows for real-time checking of the availability of a selected license plate. When entering the combination, the system automatically displays the status—\\\"available\\\" or \\\"occupied.\\\"
