Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev in an article published in the Vremya newspaper , \\\"THE LOGIC OF REFORMS-3: A NEW QUALITY OF THE NATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY\\\" noted that the key distinguishing principle of the \\\"Tokayev Model\\\" for building national identity is the focus on forming a new quality of the nation of the future and the national renaissance associated with it, Kazpravda.kz reports.
\\\"The revival of the nation in the 21st century is a real and achievable goal not in the foggy future of 2050, but in the medium term. However, for this to happen, the nation must recognize itself as a single family, bound by common values and a common vision of long-term development prospects,\\\" he emphasized in the article.
This can only be achieved through national dialogue. It is for this purpose that a new institution of the listening state was created – the National Kurultai, which unites the \\\"experience of the past and the horizons of the future.\\\"
In June 2022, the first session of the National Kurultai marked the beginning of the national revival. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined its main goal - \\\"strengthening national unity through new ideas and creative steps.\\\"

The proactive position of the \\\"Tokayev Model\\\" is aimed at including these elements in the cultural and mental matrix of national identity,\\\" writes Maulen Ashimbayev.
Among the main values and cultural trends that define this matrix, he named: justice, law and order, embodied in the concept of \\\"Adal Azamat\\\"; modernized values of cultural heritage and traditions; popularization and expansion of the range of the Kazakh language; patriotism and national unity.
\\\"The defining component of the \\\"Kazakh Renaissance\\\" should be the concept of \\\"Smart Nation\\\": the formation of a highly developed, educated, technologically advanced and socially responsible society in the context of digital transformation. Smart Nation is not just a society using technology, but a society of the future, in which citizens have a high level of education and digital literacy, the ability to think innovatively, a developed sense of responsibility for the public good, self-learning skills, adaptation and cooperation.
Smart nation develops critical thinking, cognitive flexibility, willingness to learn and relearn in the context of technological changes, openness to new ideas and approaches, creativity and innovative thinking. In addition to the active use of digital technologies in all spheres of life, smart nation implies support for inclusiveness, equal opportunities for all, the formation of an environmental culture, the use of \\\"green\\\" technologies, the education of citizens as proactive, thinking, ethical individuals ready for change. The goal of smart nation is to create a society in which every citizen is an active participant in the construction of a fair, effective and innovative state,\\\" the Speaker of the Senate emphasizes in the article.
The first steps in this direction have already been taken: the Digital Kazakhstan program, the development of smart cities, the development of IT education, the launch of Astana Hub, support for startups and youth initiatives.
