The IPO of Air Astana was discussed in the government
IPO of Air Astana JSC is planned as part of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a regular meeting of the State Commission on Economic Modernization, at which plans were discussed to transfer part of the shares of Air Astana JSC to a competitive environment, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
Based on the results of the consideration, the State Commission supported the proposed approaches, timing and structure of the IPO of Air Astana JSC, which involves reducing the size of the block of shares owned by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC to a level of less than 51% of the total number of outstanding shares of Air Astana JSC .
The IPO of Air Astana JSC is planned as part of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister gave a number of relevant instructions to the concerned government agencies.
