Medical Congress of the Turkic World takes place in Samarkand
The Medical Congress of the Turkic World is being held in Samarkand, the purpose of which is to study the unique heritage, rich experience and historical traditions of medicine of the Turkic peoples, as well as the application and popularization of the achievements of modern innovative medicine, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Ritmeurasia.org .
Delegations of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States headed by the ministers of health, as well as Tatarstan, participate in the work of the congress.
The guests and participants were welcomed by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
The Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov, in his speech recalled that the event was held on the birthday of the outstanding scientist, the founder of modern medicine, Abu Ali ibn Sina, known in the West as Avicenna. A native of Bukhara, with his discoveries, this outstanding scientist brought such areas of medicine as anatomy, psychology, pharmacology, therapy, surgery, diagnostics, and hygiene to a new level. His thousand-year-old instructions on the detection, treatment and prevention of diseases have not lost their relevance today, as humanity is convinced again and again.
Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat, First Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Tilek Mamadaliev and Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Minnullin spoke and expressed their opinion on the prospects for cooperation.
The Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev proposed to hold the next meeting of the Ministers of Health of the countries participating in the UTC in the city of Shusha, which was declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2023.
