Knowledge of the Kazakh language will be assessed in a new way in the Republic of Kazakhstan
To do this, the country will revise the standards, their projects will be posted on the official website of KazStandard for public discussion. Kazakhstan plans to improve the standards and methods of teaching the state language, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the MTI RK.
“National standards will make it possible to more fully determine and assess at what level a person speaks the Kazakh language and to what extent his communicative and linguistic competence is formed,” KazStandard reports.
To date, there are 6 levels of language learning, including general knowledge and communication skills at a level from elementary to advanced. The following standards are being revised:
- ST RK “Communicative language competencies of the Kazakh language. elemental level. Common ownership";
- ST RK “Communicative language competencies of the Kazakh language. A basic level of. General ownership"
- ST RK “Communicative language competencies of the Kazakh language. Average level. General ownership"
- ST RK “Communicative language competencies of the Kazakh language. The level is above average. General ownership"
- ST RK “Communicative language competencies of the Kazakh language. High level. Common ownership."
It is noted that the updated content of national standards contains natural, linguocultural and standard patterns and features of the Kazakh language from everyday speech to official business, artistic and literary style.
“They are grouped on the basis of the theory and practice of methodological science, depending on the content of the levels and the requirements for mastering the language by levels,” KazStandard explained.
Draft standards being developed will be posted on the official website of KazStandard for public discussion.
