05.04.2023

More than a dozen new international flights will be opened in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As was shared in the Tourism Industry Committee of the MCS RK, new flights to Doha, Ankara, Medina, Baku and Dushanbe will be opened by the spring-summer season .

In addition, the number of flights to Istanbul, Tbilisi, Phuket, Male, Delhi, Chengdu, London, Heraklion and Podgorica will be increased.

Moreover, not only the airports of Almaty and Astana, but also the air harbors of Shymkent, Aktau and Turkestan will be involved.

A number of foreign airlines are also planning to establish air communication with Kazakhstan. For example, the Malaysian low-cost airline Air Asia X is going to launch a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Almaty, and the Thai carrier Thai Air Asia is going to launch a flight from Bangkok to Almaty. The Iranian company Qeshm Air intends to open a flight on the Almaty-Tokyo route. Omani SalamAir launches Muscat-Almaty flight from July 1.

In addition, the domestic carrier Air Astana is considering the launch of two regular flights a week between Almaty and Tel Aviv.

“The opening of new destinations is an important step for the development of Kazakhstani tourism. Thanks to this, foreign guests who plan to visit our country have even more opportunities to visit Kazakhstan. Negotiations with foreign partners to launch new routes are held regularly. For example, last year 10 new destinations were opened in 7 countries. This year, this work continues,” said Dastan Ryspekov, Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
