Batyrs are invited to the competition area

The second championship in kazak kuresi “Kazakstan Barysy” starts in late March. According to the project’s author and CEO of CTC TV-channel, Arman Shuraev, the tournament will undergo some changes.
First, it will start in villages. Then athletes will show their worth at district, regional and national competitions. The final is scheduled for mid-September. Second, the number of participants in the Astana finals will be halved from 64 to 32.
With the general sponsor of the second championship – JSC “National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” the prize fund has grown from 40 million to 50 million tenge. The champion will get a Taytuyak cup in the form of a hoof and Altyn belbeu (gold belt) and a solid cash prize. Wrestlers who’ll rank second and third will receive silver and bronze belts and cash prizes. The last year’s champion, Ulan Ryskulov is willing to retry his sweeping win again.
