Kazakhstan celebrates Gratitude Day
- This holiday personifies the values of kindness, mutual respect and trust, celebrated on March 1, Kazpravda.kz reports.
On Gratitude Day, Kazakhstanis pay tribute to each other for their desire to live in friendship and harmony for the sake of the prosperity of the people.
Gratitude Day reminds us of how people maintained unity and cohesion in the most difficult times. The holiday has been celebrated since 2016 and is dedicated to the day of the formation of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
In honor of Gratitude Day, various sports and cultural events will be organized across the country.
According to the press service of the Astana akimat, it is planned to decorate public space, avenues, and city streets for the holiday.
Many events are planned in the capital's schools. Thus, until March 1, the song challenge “Altyn Zhurek”, charity events of ethnocultural associations of the ANC, the good action “Rakhmet Deimin!”, the lesson of gratitude “Algysynmen Zhakynda”, events of gratitude to child heroes who saved people’s lives, etc. will be held until March 1. Cultural institutions preparing their performances.
In honor of the holiday, it is planned to distribute hot tea and bauyrsaks, hot meals with thanks to the employees of the ambulance station, as well as to utility workers.
On this day there will be a meeting with veterans and home front workers. And in the House of Friendship there will be a round table meeting dedicated to the Day of Gratitude, as well as a solemn ceremony for presenting funds collected from donations for the treatment of needy children.
The city administration also informed that on March 1, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the “Kazakh Eline Myn Algys” monument with the participation of members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. A concert of the Birlik ensemble will take place at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.
